Our Favorite Place to Come

Love, love, love this resort! The units are comfy and well-maintained. We love the trails and wilderness as well as all the activities. The resort is following Covid protocol, which we appreciate. We cannot wait to return!

Relax in Door County

We just spent a very relaxing week at the Rushes reading and watching movies in front of a real wood fireplace. The units are comfy with a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms. We cooked most of our meals there or grilled out on our Webber grill at night. Be sure to go to the Glidden Lodge for a fantastic dinner looking out on Lake Michigan

Nice Door County Resort

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Rushes. The unit was very clean the furniture through out the unit was comfortable and not worn out. We ate most of our meals at the unit. The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking and eat utensils you would need. We did several of the daily activities creating gardens stones, a butterfly house, a small barn quilt, and a essential oils roll on

Always Good!

We have been coming to the Rushes since the 80’s with Pam’s parents and have always loved it . Using the xxskis and the snowshoes they provide is a big plus. We love the wood burning fire place. Even with Covid going on, we were able to partake in some of the activities they had. Walking the trail system is always a highlight for us. Enjoyed seeing the familiar faces of the staff and meeting the new ones. Always helpful!

Door County at the Rushes

This place was amazing! Clean grounds and unit. Loved having a lake on property with the use of the water toys! Very quiet area yet not too far to drive to nearby small towns. So much to do! We will be back.

Girlfriend Getaway

We stayed at The Rushes for a week. The location is perfect for exploring Door County. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub. We checked out equipment for shuffleboard and games to use in our unit. The staff was very helpful when we checked in and answering any questions were had. The unit was spacious, clean and comfortable. Evenings were cool so we enjoyed having a fire in the fireplace many nights. The wood box was well stocked plus helpful directions for any novice. Nice walking paths, tennis courts & playground were located near our unit. Everyone we met was friendly and polite in the other units. It had a neighborhood feeling. It was a great week in June.

Best Resort

We have traded into The Rushes four times. Everything is family oriented and first class. While we have traveled there at different times of the year we found that the best time for us was right after the Labor Day holiday. The youngsters are back in school and the older folks get to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Late winter at the Rushes

We had a great time at the Rushes. Ray taught my son and I to Snow Shoe on the trails and also did a very interesting nature tour. The Tuesday evening get together was also a neat social opportunity to meet others. The Unit we stayed in was one of the best that we have ever been in.

A week away

Booked a week in early December through RCI. Our intent was a break away from the hustle of family and city. This met our expectations of great accommodations/activities on-site yet solitude built in.

It is a smaller timeshare complex with I think 12 buildings with 2 accommodations per building. A attached garage for your vehicle, split firewood and a spacious activity area with a 1st floor bedroom (twin beds) and a second floor bedroom/jacuzzi w/king bed. We signed up and enjoyed the guided hike with a woods expert. Bingo night had social interaction with other guests. The 100 acres of 4 different trails (each with a very well defined colored route. I think 4+ miles of interweaved trails are offered.

The resort book covered all aspects of the area and functions of the building. WIFI was never lost, flat screen TV’s could use a HD upgrade as could DVD to blue ray. Appliances performed flawlessly and are middle of the road quality.

Beautiful lake front property, well maintained, peaceful. Units are updated, clean and well equipped. Outdoor activities for all ages and rainy day options like craft classes and bingo plus indoor pool cover all bases for family unplugged vacation fun. We can’t wait to return.
